bettina-arndt-smilingBettina is a renowned author, speaker, social commentator and sex therapist whose career spans several decades. The highlights of her career include not only having her own talk-back radio show, being banned from live television and radio for two years, and also becoming the one person in Australia that everyone comes to for advice about sex.

Bettina now spends most of her time on the speaking circuit, travelling the country keeping audiences enthralled with her stories, as well as writing for many of Australia’s leading newspapers and magazines and appearing regularly on television.

Nicole Lucas, Chair of the Coolamon Rural Women’s Gathering Committee said, “We are very excited to announce that Bettina Arndt has agreed to be our guest speaker at the 2014 Rural Women’s Gathering Gala Dinner. Bettina is well known to so many Australian women and men who are fascinated by her research, her writing and her insights and we are just thrilled attendees at this year’s Rural Women’s Gathering will have the chance to hear directly from her.

“While we are still finalising the details for the Gathering’s full program, which will include a number of other keynote speakers and educational workshops, we are very pleased that Bettina has accepted our invitation to attend the Gathering and will share some of her great stories with our delegates.”

The NSW Rural Women’s Gathering is a state-wide community event that brings together around 400 rural women in one location for a weekend of information sharing, education, inspiration, skills, tourism and fun.

The complete program for the Gathering will be published shortly. Registrations will open when the program is finalised. In the meantime, people can register their interest in attending by contacting Nicole Lucas at:
