The Weather the Storm Kit received a highly commended award at the Resilient Australia Awards in Canberra in December 2013.  A number of NRWC Directors and supporters travelled to Canberra to accept this award which recognises that this kit is one of many initiatives which contributes to making our communities safer, stronger, more resilient and better prepared for disaster.  The NRWC thanks the Office for Women who provided funding for the development of this kit.
