Live sheep export – Australians overseas caring for our sheep

Sharon Dundon is an animal welfare specialist from Armidale, New South Wales. She lives in Bahrain where she works with local importers to manage the welfare of Australian sheep exported to the Middle East through the live sheep export trade.

Sharon works in the Middle East with her husband Peter and a team of specialists for Meat & Livestock Australia and LiveCorp. This team works together to improve animal welfare for live sheep exports across the region by delivering training programs, infrastructure upgrades and community education alongside importers, feedlot and abattoir managers.
